With such dimension of notion WE in our Sponge Iron Manufacturing process through 4 Kilns (1 * 350T and 3 * 500T) laid up the best DRI making process in India. It is Coal Fuel based DRI.
Coal based Sponge-iron is a metallic product produced through direct reduction of iron ore in the solid state .As such it is also known as Direct Reduced Iron (DRI). Iron Ore Pellet is used for reduction. After reduction of iron ore pellet the product resembles sponge because of pores left behind after removal of oxygen. As such it is called Sponge Iron. Sponge Iron is a substitute of scrap in steel melting. Although the reduction in the kiln is not direct, the CO gas reduces the impurities and oxides of hematite and the resultant DRI is in the solid form, this process is known as Direct Reduction Process. Coal based DRI process is mainly preferred on account of better non contaminated Iron (Fe) for steel making instead of facing crisis of good quality scrap , international/national demand of solid metallic, availability of large reserves of iron ore & non-coking coal in India.

In Energy conservation process in DRI plant we catch Process resultant fuel gases which is at high temperatures of around 950°C from the sponge iron kiln; constituting significant amount of heat energy. With WHRB, a modern Technology, We produces around 0.5 million TPA of Sponge Iron. Thus we have achieved about 85% recovery of waste heat from fuel gases of sponge iron kiln and utilization of same heat to produce steam. The steam is further utilized to generate electrical energy.
Our DRI Plant has been designed in conformation to all safety measures to eliminate harmful working conditions and make the working environment SAFE, CLEAN & RISK FREE.
